Carnival is perhaps the oldest festival that mankind has ever invented. Even primitive man used dress at a given time of year. But even now why we wear masks? Truly we can transform and become different from us?
It is a celebration that comes from the union of cultures. The only party shared by all humanity and that allows you to discover what we share and celebrate what makes us different. A new way of looking at the world, inside and outside of us. Carnival is the art of transforming your life.
"Little harmonious carnival" is a project born in Rome in 2004 to discover a new way to stay together in joy, and simultaneously create a harmony of culture and solidarity with the peoples who live in other parts of the world, or as migrants in our cities. The Little Harmonic
Carnival wants to make a cultural twinning and solidarity among the children of Haiti and Italy, starting from the common desire of a joyful future.
On March 3, children of two school classes Di Donato in Rome will participate in the parade, held in the district Esquilino, wearing masks of Haiti.
Then there is the feast, which for three days, from 6 to 8 March, will bring Haiti to Rome, through the harmony of cultures.

On the occasion of International Mother Language Day 2011, Monday, February 21 by 10 am to 13 at the National Museum of Italian Emigration to the Victorian Room Zanardelli - Piazza Ara Coeli 1, the conference will be held on the subject of Native language and immigration with the intention of analyzing the relationship between the mother tongue of immigrants in Italy and Italian, adoptive language.
It does draw attention to the situation of the languages \u200b\u200bof immigrants in Italy, which can be configured as a new linguistic minorities, other than historical ones. It will be interesting to see how and if they are preserved by the second and third generations of immigrants, and what relationship they have with the language of origin and of adoption with the Italian language.
Day will be a moment of awareness, reflection and discussion, mostly young people in particular.
The theme of linguistic diversity and the value of the mother tongue will be addressed through the new experience of Italians, whose path of integration has resulted in an experience of interaction and exchange of cultures.

During the night between 2 and 3 February the Chinese around the world celebrated their New Year and the arrival of the year of Rabbit. The anniversary this year 's in Italy has taken a further important to include in the calendar of events Cultural Year in China.
Since 2006 the social mediators who currently manage the Project "Esquilindo" propose, together with the Chinese community and network of associations of the Esquiline, the festivities of Chinese New Year in the Esquilino. The Chinese community is one of the realities in the District of New Year celebrations and have represented, in recent years, further meetings between the community and the city of Rome.
The many people in the past editions of all kinds and nationalities, have "described" a clear will for dialogue and discussion among all the inhabitants of the district. Esquilindo for this Project, in collaboration with the Federation of Associations of Chinese Community Association of Roma language Zhonghua Chinese culture, yet this is a presentation "will" and the colorful dragon dance and lion.
The starting point of this initiative is in the gardens of the Aquarium - House of Architecture will also focus where students from different schools including those of the Roman School of the Comprehensive Manin Di Donato, cultural hub of the district, a place that imagining the future of the World has already rich differences that live on the Esquiline.
Taste the World is an event Esquilindo Project, managed by cooperatives and Social Parsec Eureka I, funded by the Province of Rome, Rome under the patronage of the Old Town Hall.

Nel piazzale antistante i due mercati verranno salutati tutti i clienti del mercato con un’altra performance.
Da qui la danza si avvierà verso via Principe Amedeo, via Lamarmora per passare sotto tutti i portici di Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, quindi dentro i giardini “Nicola Calipari” dove avrà luogo il termine dei festeggiamenti con un ultima performance.

The International Mother Language Day was established by UNESCO nel 1999 per esprimere la necessità di una politica linguistica mondiale basata sul dialogo tra culture, sul multilinguismo e sulla tutela delle lingue minoritarie.
La data del 21 febbraio intende celebrare i caduti nelle sollevazioni popolari avvenute nel 1952 nell’allora Pakistan Orientale, odierno Bangladesh, in difesa della lingua madre. Il bengali, la seconda lingua più parlata nel sub continente indiano, classificata tra le prime cinque o sei lingue più parlate al mondo, ha ottenuto il riconoscimento ufficiale solo nel 1956.
Delle oltre 6700 lingue parlate nel mondo più di 200 si sono estinte nelle ultime tre generazioni mentre altre 2500 rischiano di scomparire a breve.
A seguito del preoccupante fenomeno della sparizione delle lingue nasce l’ esigenza di proteggere l’insieme delle lingue mondiali, perché ogni lingua rappresenta il più potente strumento di conservazione del patrimonio materiale e immateriale di ogni cultura.
Da diversi anni la comunità bangladese celebra il momento commemorativo a Roma non solo in ricordo della lingua madre, ma per la convivenza pacifica tra i popoli e le culture che coabitano nella società italiana.

Giornata Internazionale della Lingua Madre
The International Mother Language Day was established by UNESCO nel 1999 per esprimere la necessità di una politica linguistica mondiale basata sul dialogo tra culture, sul multilinguismo e sulla tutela delle lingue minoritarie.
La data del 21 febbraio intende celebrare i caduti nelle sollevazioni popolari avvenute nel 1952 nell’allora Pakistan Orientale, odierno Bangladesh, in difesa della lingua madre. Il bengali, la seconda lingua più parlata nel sub continente indiano, classificata tra le prime cinque o sei lingue più parlate al mondo, ha ottenuto il riconoscimento ufficiale solo nel 1956.
Delle oltre 6700 lingue parlate nel mondo più di 200 si sono estinte nelle ultime tre generazioni mentre altre 2500 rischiano di scomparire a breve.
A seguito del preoccupante fenomeno della sparizione delle lingue nasce l’ esigenza di proteggere l’insieme delle lingue mondiali, perché ogni lingua rappresenta il più potente strumento di conservazione del patrimonio materiale e immateriale di ogni cultura.
Da diversi anni la comunità bangladese celebra il momento commemorativo a Roma non solo in ricordo della lingua madre, ma per la convivenza pacifica tra i popoli e le culture che coabitano nella società italiana.
